How to Create A Stunning Gallery Wall At Home
Here’s some great imagery to help you get an idea of the different kinds of gallery walls you can have in your home. You can style your photographs, posters, artwork, accessories (e.g. woven baskets or ceramic plates), and wall hangings in different ways and you can really personalize your space by decorating it in a way that resonates with you. Add the things you love to your walls and make them work cohesively together by finding a similar thread to tie it all together. This could be a similar color of picture frame or a particular color in the photograph or accessory that complement each other. Let’s take a look at some inspiration images:
Bedroom Gallery:

Probably the easiest gallery to achieve – printed pictures stuck in a grid formation on your wall. Mix up the colours and add fairy lights and some greenery if you want to pack a punch! Image credit: @viktoriadahlberg

Different sized and colored four-sided frames above your bedhead. Decorate with images you love that give you a sense of peace and joy in your sleeping area. Image credit: @chrislovesjulia
Living Space Gallery:

Fill that otherwise bare wall with a beautiful gallery of same colour frames in a tall grid structure. Show off your travel photos or family pics, either in full colour or black and white. Image credit: www.framebridge.com

Love this colourful gallery over the bookshelves which picks up on colours in the room and the book spines on the shelf too! Image credit: Lea Jessen Photography

Go Big or Go Home! Sometimes hard to know how much you can do but as you can see here, decorating with large and small pieces all the way around your television and up gives great impact to especially large walls! Not for the faint at heart. Image credit: Gravity Home
Staircase Gallery:

Beautiful grid gallery wall on the staircase landing gives you a focal point as you walk up and down the stairs and beautifully decorates the space. Image credit: Laura Winslow Photography

Styling your gallery wall along the staircase walls also creates a lovely effect with both large, small or mixed sized frames. Showcase all your pictures from a big event like a wedding or add to your gallery annually with pictures of your growing family over the years. Image credit: www.itallappealstome.com
Mixed Object Gallery:

Love this full wall gallery behind the sofa – immediately creates colour and impact visible when you step into the room. Decorate with different sized objects and you can play around with shapes, heights and textures. Image credit: Pinterest

How about decorating a wall with colourful objects you’ve collected like these beautiful woven baskets that can tell your own story! Image credit: Kelly Elko

I love a beautiful plate collection. What better way to showcase these or a similar collectors item – all the pretty patterns and shapes add so much interest to an otherwise bare wall and its an alternative to having them sit in grandma’s glass cabinet gathering dust! Image credit: Pinterest

Mix it up by adding your good looking hat collection to your gallery wall too…Also a great way to store your hats somewhere you won’t lose or forget about them! Image credit: www.sfgirlbybay.com

Add other found objects including mirrors and monogram art to your gallery wall to inject some sparkle and personality to your wall. Image credit: Pinterest
And here’s just one template you can use in your own space to arrange the different elements of your gallery wall:
